Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Business teams to understand product objectives, technical requirements, customer use cases, and delivery risks.
• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive quality strategies and test scenarios covering functional, integration, regression, exploratory, usability, compatibility, security, release testing, including third-party integrations.
• Review product requirements, user flows, system designs, and acceptance criteria to identify ambiguities, missing scenarios, technical risks, and potential quality issues early in the development lifecycle.
• Validate APIs, databases, data synchronization, asynchronous processes, payment workflows, reporting accuracy, and integrations between internal and external systems.
• Define risk-based testing priorities, test plans, quality gates, entry and exit criteria, release-readiness assessments, and rollback recommendations based on business impact and technical complexity.
• Monitor quality metrics, investigate production incidents using logs, API responses, database records, monitoring data, and customer reports, and provide clear root-cause analysis and reproduction steps.
• Partner with Engineering teams to improve testability, observability, error handling, reliability, automation coverage, and overall engineering quality while supporting enterprise-specific configurations.
• Mentor QA engineers, review test designs and automation code, and continuously improve QA processes, tools, documentation, environments, and release workflows to reduce delivery risks and shorten feedback cycles.

Kualifikasi

• Required Experience 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related engineering role.
• Proven experience testing SaaS, B2B, B2C, web, API, or mobile software products.
• Hands-on experience with both manual testing and test automation.
• Experience designing or maintaining automated test frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Appium, Selenium, Mocha, Jest, Pytest, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools or libraries such as Postman, Supertest, Axios, REST Assured, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience validating relational databases using SQL and verifying data consistency across integrated systems.
• Experience managing regression testing and supporting end-to-end release cycles from requirement analysis through production deployment.
• Experience investigating production incidents and collaborating with engineering teams on root-cause analysis.
• Experience with defect and test management tools such as Jira, Qase, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or equivalent tools.
• Familiarity with payment integrations, transaction workflows, reconciliation, refunds, taxes, service charges, discounts, promotions, and reporting validation.
• Able to adapt to fast-changing requirements, manage multiple priorities, and maintain quality standards under tight release schedules.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience testing POS, F&B, retail, ERP, inventory, order management, payment, e-commerce, or operational business systems is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with security testing concepts, including authentication, authorization, session management, input validation, and OWASP risks.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Loki, Datadog, Sentry, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience using SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or another programming language for testing and automation.
• Experience testing event-driven architectures, message queues, microservices, offline synchronization, or distributed systems.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers or coordinating testing activities across multiple teams.
